How to Merge PDF Files Privately in Your Browser

4 minutes

You may need one PDF for an application, project handoff, or archive when the source pages arrived as separate files. EverythingDeck’s Merge PDF tool combines those files in the browser. The current implementation does not upload the selected documents to an EverythingDeck server.

Merge PDFs in the right order

  1. Open the Merge PDF tool.
  2. Choose at least two PDF files. You can add more files after the first selection.
  3. Check each filename and its position in the list.
  4. Use Move up and Move down to arrange the files.
  5. Select Create PDF, then download the result.
  6. Open the downloaded PDF and check its first page, last page, and the boundaries between source documents.

The order in the file list becomes the order in the finished PDF. The tool copies every page from the first file, then every page from the second file, and continues through the list.

Current limits

The selected files can total up to 50 MB, and the finished document can contain up to 500 pages. These limits reduce browser memory pressure, but available memory still varies by device. Large scanned documents may work better in smaller batches.

Password-protected PDFs are not accepted. If you own the document and have permission to change it, create an unlocked copy with software you trust before merging it.

The merge process copies PDF pages rather than turning them into screenshots. Existing page sizes can differ within the result, so a document may switch between portrait, landscape, Letter, or A4 pages.

Fix pages before or after merging

Use Split and Organize PDF when you need only selected pages or want to place individual pages in a new order. Use Rotate PDF when every output page needs the same rotation.

Keep the source PDFs until you have opened the download and confirmed the order. The result is a new file, and the originals remain on your device.
